Artist in Residence - Arc of Appalachia April, 2019
I shared in presenting a proposal to be an artist-in-residence, a first for the Arc in terms of photography and textile work, with my artist friend, Sue King. My focus was on trying different methods of capturing wildflowers in addition to giving the Arc imagery they could use from that spring’s wildflower season through their website, social media and any other publicity they might need images to promote. I also formed a deeper relationship with the Director, Nancy Stranahan, to photograph additional events as needed. Sue and I co-made a piece for display at the Arc which incorporated both of our skills as artists.
